Phoenix has been color tested by UC Davis as sorrel. However, his sire Metallic Cattack is consistently siring foals with a lot of white, such as Phoenix has. There is an obvious undiscovered gene that is at play, which is a roan or sabino type with white socks, wide full blaze, and occasional white spots and/or mottling. Perhaps someday we will know what this gene is.

Metallic Phoenix is a 2021 colt sired by Metallic Cattack (by Metallic Cat) and out of Sage Bars Dun N Love. He is smart, friendly, willing, easy to work with, agile, quick, and all around super athletic. I'm excited to see where his future takes him. He will start with a foundation in reining, and move on to be trained on cows, ranch work, and eventually barrels. As training and natural abilities are shown, we will allow him to direct us down his best path.
